I'm not going to claim I knew Jesse very well. We had some stuff in common, there were things I loved about him...and really that's all I NEED to know.

I keep pulling up this page to comment and then all my words just drain out and I delete them again.

Jesse gave me a great gift without realising, he made me feel human...not good, not bad - human...and I don't think anyone could give me greater.
I'll miss discussing his poems, I'm miss bitching about medication and knowing someone understands. I'll miss telling him about Australia and the stuff we have here and how he'd love it..that he should go with Joyce. I'll miss him for every selfish reason I can think of...because that's what missing someone means.

I really don't know what to write, such beautiful things written above.. I agree and believe in them all. I only met Jesse a few months ago.. he definitely touched me, such a good feeling he brought to me... he was one of those extradinary people.. only some get to meet once in a lifetime.. peace be with him now.

We would exchange witticisms now and again. He seemed like an ok fellow.

My sincere condolences on your loss. We were not close, but I was a friend of Jesse through LiveJournal and the occasional mix tape swap and will miss his fierce honesty and openess. I would very much like to make a small donation to your local botanical gardens (http://www.phipps.conservatory.org/) in his honor. Please let me know if there's anyone who'd like to combine donations - for a brick or some other memorial - or if this is something Jesse would not have liked.
