last night was fun... i'm a little sore and my throat hurts a lot, but that's fine. i'll get over it! we got there when the doors opened and pretty much just started looking at the shirts. we bought billy talennt shirt and didn't really have to wait in line at all for them, which was nice, then we looked over and MCR shirts had a line that went all the way across the yard (it was outdoors) and back again, katy and mando wanted shirts so we got in it. brit's sister showed up and said hi... that's the only time i ever really saw her... while we were in line drive by started playing, so we kind of missed them... they were good though, and said that after they played they'de be signing CD's, so we bought our shirts (i ended up getting one, it seemed more worth it after waiting in line so long and all the shirts were $20, which isn't too bad for a concert shirt) and then we got in the fairly short line to get signed CD's, which were $5.
brit got a sausage wrap and we all had a peice. it was tasty! then we got a place in the crowd for billy talent. they were really good, though i dont think many people had really heard of them... they're from canada and it was their first time in austin... anyway, they did their things and in between the set up for them and MCR we tried to get a little closer.... kind of a mistake. somehow or another we all ended up sardined between everyone else in the crowd, who was also sardined. we spend a while like that (it was like swimming in a sea of sweat!) and finally the band came out, and after a few songs their lead singer gereard was like "...you guys are kinda packed in there...." and then he told everyone who wanted out to get out, because now was the time. and people were pulled out by security and eventually everyone who wanted to escaped... and then he counted to 3 and we backed up a few steps everytime he did that. i was grateful for it, and so was everyone else. and then things continued and it was fun! at one point he asked us how many of us had been to jail (they have a song about prison...) and people raised their hands and he said "i don't know why... texas always raises the most hands..."
sadly, katy's jacket (which was tied to her bag) was lost in all the madness... i gave her a ride home, and then we went to sonic for much needed refreshment and came home =)
will post some blurry pictures and a video i managed to sneak later
