So if you are between the ages of 18-25 and are not privilaged enough to be wealthy, heres some food for thought:
Vote and you might not be sent to a foreign war to die for the self intrest of soemone you don't even care about.
The popular vote in the last election was the determining factor that allowed Bush to squeeze his slimy ass into office. Consider that if the election had not been as close, he would have nto been able to manipulate media attention to find a decisive victory with 48% of the vote.
But angry? What about the electoral college? Our vote doesn't matter?
YES! and its exactly that attitude that allows the elecroral college to be perpetuated! In order to disolve the electoral college and conduct a purely popular presidential election (as is done NOW with every other elected office - that changed BTW), the popular vote must be significantly (as in 20%+) disproportionate with the electoral vote.
Consider that our current Attorney General, Ashcroft, lost in his state in the senatorial election against a dead guy. We have the power to keep people out of power and depose a regime that does not support the opinion of the majority. It is in your hands to use it.
So do so.
