The weekend story
Friday, did Friendly's with the kids, watched Stargate with the boy (holy shit, I can't believe they killed of Frasier like that -- but, damn, what a powerful episode, the best of the season so far).
Saturday, rented some movies with the kids (still haven't watched Freddy vs. Jason -- without the kids, of course -- but it isn't due back until Friday), made pizza, chatted briefly with The Professor, went to the mall so the kids could buy a birthday present for their mom.
Sunday, race day (crummy day for our drivers), did more of the poker thing (did a fair amount of losing -- overconfidence, anyone?). Did place 20th (last spot in the money -- collected $29 on a $22 entry, so not much at all) in last night's Midnight Oil tourney. I think I've found a flaw in my play -- I'll have to work on it sometime, but not anytime soon. I think I need a short break from poker for a few days.
Next weekend will be different -- Brian Vander Ark on Saturday in NYC! The Professor and I shall be making a day of it -- don't know exactly what else we'll be doing. Plenty of time to discuss the details this week.
