Written at 4am Saturday morning.
For the past few days I’ve had a pain in the lower left side of my back. I had a feeling it was the urine infection, but figured I’d just get around to seeing a doc when I could...come Monday, after work. But tonight (Friday night) I went to work and it hurt more than it ever had. The pain was dull, yet very localized and really unbearable. After calling a nurse advice line, I made the decision to call Nick and have him take me to the ER. Like I mentioned, the pain was so intense, I knew it had to be looked at. Hunched over in pain, we make our way into the ER.
After blood tests, urine tests, a CAT scan, half a bag of IV fluids and a few friendly nurses later, come to find out I have/had kidney stones! I was given morphine for my pain, which was a very interesting experience! and sent home with vicodin, and cipro for the urinary track infection that I also have! I’m experiencing quite some pain, but trust that the antibiotics and pain meds will do the trick. Nick was so patient through the whole ordeal, it being 3:30am by the time we got home and all! *Bless his heart.* ...he had been up about 20 hours at that point. I will be sure and keep you updated on my recovery! As for now, I really need to rest.
Don't worry, I'm doing alright, the pain has def. decreased. And vicodin is gooooood. =)
I only have to work a half shift tonight (1am to 7am).
k, bye.
