Yes, we're very excited about the Oscar nominations. We know that it's a big deal that Brokeback got so many. However, I only approved two Oscar posts out of the flood of posts that the community received, because nobody wants their friends list spammed. The other mods and the maintainers may decide to allow the rest of the Oscar posts through, but for the time being they're just going to sit there, in the queue. All... nine of them. All other Oscar posts have been rejected, to allow the original posters to make other posts to the comm.
On an unrelated note: those people posting fic, could you please make sure to put the following in your subject line, to make it easier on me when I'm doing the memories for this community? [ Title, Pairing, Rating ] I'm about halfway through 2005's entries now, and it's a pain in the ass to have to go back and forth between the entry and the add memories page because I can't remember one of the details of the fic. I'd very much appreciate it if there weren't random stuff like, 'new fic...', etc. in your subject lines. Thank you!
Note: your fic does not have to have a title, if you can't think of one. Just put 'Untitled' in the 'Title' space in the subject line. Also, if your fic is multipart, please put the part number into the subject line as well.
And if you have broken tags or weird MS Word code in your entries -- this goes for non-fic posters, as well -- then I cannot tag them. Please make sure the coding is correct on your entries before you post them. A relatively easy way to do this is to go through and do all the coding in Word, then paste it into Notepad, copy from Notepad, and paste it into your LiveJournal client or the update page. That automatically gets rid of the weird MS Word code.
Thanks for helping us to keep the community running smoothly!
