Searching for long time removed fanfic, "Roots" by 271 Horses

This was a spectacular Earl/Rich prequel to the events of Brokeback Mountain that was much praised at the time. many saying it may have been one of the best fanfics ever written. I read this many years ago, much of it is still seared in my memory - and many readers felt the same way as I did. I wish I had the sense at the time to try to save it before the author removed it, but alas it didn't happen. I would love to read this again. Anyone know where it could be found?
