PLOT SYNOPSIS TO DATE:
Part 1, Changing Horses: The summer after Jack’s death, Ennis tries to put his depression and grief aside and attends his daughter’s wedding, an even more significant event than he’s expected. Jack shows up as an unseen guest and he and Ennis silently repeat the wedding vows together, and later Ennis meets Curt’s second cousin David, who has also been mourning the death of a partner.
Part 2, Wedding Night:
In the following few months, changes are taking place in Ennis’ family: Jenny wants to move to Denver and Curt is considering looking for other employment. Ennis visits with Mrs. Twist, learns some more about Jack’s life growing up and comes out to another person for the first time. He then carries out Jack’s to have his ashes scattered on Brokeback Mountain, but it's a longer trip than he planned.
