So there is no lyrical snippit for this post.
I had a very meekle day today.
Woke up, had tea. Also had slice of F&M game pie Matt had thoughtfully provided. (Tea, F&M breakfast - rocking way to start the day.)
Got ready, then traveled to Greenwich for the market and to see what the tides washed in... and to meet up with the lovely Laura Quake who had not been seen nor really talked to in FAR TOO LONG because of time zones being a bastard and what-not.
Think we managed to make up for it. Or at least redress the balance a little. And giftings were exchanged - she gave Thames gifts, stories and sugar, we gave biscuits, doom-beer, nuts and bottle caps. Pretty sure it was a good exchange - or at least K and I were very pleased with our swag! =P
It was a random day, and hopefully we didn't wear out our welcome.... but it's the first day I've felt comfortable in the UK. (Which is weird, I know, and I hope there will be many other days, but this was the first. And by 'comfortable' I mean that I felt I belonged - which alas I had not previously, I just felt like a visitor...... Which I suppose I am nowdays. Bugger.
