As previously mentioned, I have many things to do. K has even more. I don't know how it happens, but round here the list is never ending.
(At the Oast there would be chores, or accounts, or kitchen wenching, or errands... then there'd be a day or two of downtime. Rinse and repeat. Here it never quite seems to end {and those mythical planned beach days never quite come round, damnit.})
Anyways. I saw a dress in a shop called 'Tommy Bahamas' that I liked very much and it would be lovely and floaty light for the Grandparent's wedding. But it was a very stupid amount of money, so I decided I would make a dress out of linen scraps for the event instead. Have just finished it (save for dying it with tea so it's 'natural' and not white) and am rather pleased with it. I had no idea that would work even half as well as it did. No, you can't have pics until I wear it, it's one of those dresses that looks silly unless it has a body in it =P
Our little fluffy dinosaurs are getting rather big. Well, they're still small, but they're twice the size of when they arrived here and they're quite a bit more feathery than fluffy. Because of their growing flight ability, K's on a deadline to construct a new nursery coop outside.
Whilst he's busy with that, I need to paint our new room. After moving a bed that weighs a lot more than I do. But hey, I hammered all the rusty nails in, so it shouldn't give me tetanus =)
In the following eves we have to go to a gun classes - otherwise I'll never get my grubby little mits on my Lightning =P That's us for the next few days; painting, chicken coop building, and fire-arms safety.
A few days after that everyone starts turning up day in day out, the house is full to the gills and all hell breaks loose.
I probably should have tried to score some hard core drugs or something for the occasion, shouldn't I? Pretty sure I'll feel like I'll need them before the season's out =P
PS - I hear it's horribly stupidly evilly hot in London. I find it very weird to think it's cooler in Hawai'i. Definitely confused. But then I am living halfway up a mountain - that might have something to do with it I guess....
