...the story she's writing doesn't have an end.
This is inconvenient.
Broadly speaking, the plot is as follows:
One Man realises he was Very Wrong about several Very Important Things. Unable to make his peace, he tries to kill himself. He is unexpectedly rescued by his Adversary. The Man and his Adversary spend the aftermath discussing their lives, each other, and Philosophy. The Man acknowledges where he was at fault but is in no less of a quandary on how to proceed with his life. And then...?
No idea. The Man could ignore the entire incident and go back to work. He could go and kill himself again anyways. He could exile himself in some way. He could manage to make his peace. Or, I suppose there could be copious amounts of shagging.
All of these endings have their own problems, some more obvious than others.
I think I need a Deus Ex Machina. In fact I know I do. I just can't think of one.
Bah.
There is snow at the Oast. It is pretty. And floofy. =)
