Brief thoughts in busy times.

I was watching a highly irritating Disney cartoon at 2 in the morning, waiting to pass out. One of the main lessons it was trying to teach was that there's a vast difference between what you WANT and what you NEED in your life.

On the one hand this irked me, as it seemed to assume that everyone was an idiot who failed to realise that what they wanted was an impractical fairytale (kinda funny, coming from Disney) and what's more there'd be the whole the price of getting what you want is getting what once you wanted thing going on.

On the other hand this made me wonder what I need. I know what I want. (An 1880's fallen gentleman for a boyfriend, a garret of my own in which to be creative and crazy, and to not have to be mundanely employed but pay rent through artistic means. Oh, and Consumption would be nice... All of which I suppose is my happily warped idea of a fairytale according to Corvidic values.) But are any of those things what I need?

So, if you're bored, here's a game.
Anonymously tell me what it is you think I need.
(Tell me what you think you need too if you like, or steal this and ask in your own lj.)
