Bollocks, I've just run out of vodka. But that's not actually the point I was gonna make. It was more this: Most girls lust after shoes and things like that. They go weak at the knees over dresses or some pretty famous boy on the big screen. They angst over make up, worry about fashion.
That all seems very silly to me. Make up is great, but only for theatrics. Dresses are pretty but so what when there's nearly-as-good on ebay for a couple of quid and when I prefer 'odd' to 'fashionable'? Characters are darling - I'll pine over them no problem (and I do) - but real boys are more problematic. (Also, isn't it a bit rude and shallow to lust over a real-life stranger like that?)
But I can't really admit to being any more sensible when I'm desperately doing the maths, scouring ebay and cursing the fact that functional WWI English bayonets are so bloody expensive. (Roughly £50 - £90, which is still less than a lot of shoes I could mention, but that's not really the point and would put a worrying hole in the acquisition of next month's rent.) Damn. I've always had a thing for stabby bits of steel. *wistful sigh*
Hm.
Will do art for WWI bayonet? Or story. Or painted jacket. Or... I dunno.
Any takers?
Heehee. Didn't really think so =P
