Knight of Pentacles is here, but I'm still searching for the King...

Matt keeps inviting me to his bed.

That sounds a lot dodgier than it is. Still...

A week or so back I'd sat in his room to be sociable and half fell asleep on his bed as I was shattered. Instead of kicking me out, he curled up with me, told me I was welcome to stay and we both went to sleep in a tangle of limbs. Last night he pounced on me and curled round so he could have a hug and then fell asleep like that. At 2am when his phone went off I got up to turn off lights and find my own bed, he hugged me again and told me I didn't have to go.

I don't really know how to describe the vein of his behaviour. It's affectionate, playful - and whilst not sexual, it is very... familiar.

Also when I said he couldn't have consumption he insisted he could and would so then he could stride around being a consumptive 1880's gunslinger. This struck me as odd because he's never been into the Old West thing. A neuron at the back wondered if he wanted to be like Holliday just to please me. Every other neuron looked round in disbelief. *shrugs* I'm not that great at subtle hints and signals. Not because I don't notice them, I do, but I always wonder if they mean what I think they mean or if I'm reading far too much into things... so ignore them, just to be safe.

In all likelihood Matt's probably just slightly lonely and after company without complications (or sex) and figures I'm in the same boat. (I am assuming here that he's still with Australian wench.) And yeah, it's quite nice to sleep in familiar company (even if I'm not used to it and so can't relax) but it's also... odd.

gentlemen aren't nice
