Whoops...guess I should have been more clear. I wasn't seconding your first part. Eek. I was seconding this:

I don't want any say over who any ex of mine shags - they're welcome to have an orgy with rent boys or a true-love romance with Miss Universe for all I care.

What bothers me is the lack of manners or consideration in bringing anyone in for a shag with no warning. It's not a good way to behave and lacks even the slightest hint of common courtesy.

Aye! It does look like the general feeling is that anybody who causes this kind of "hypothetical shag without warning situation" to happen is lame in epic proportions. Thankfully these "hypothetical problems" have a tendency to feck off to the other side of the world.
