Excel. Can die in shit. Preferably soon.

So. Excel.
I do not like it.

I do not like its habit of changing data I have spent a long time entering. It plays this game especially with cut and paste. What one cuts out of one document is not what one gets pasted into another document. I might understand if there were a thousand hidden formulae in the cells. But there aren't. Because I'm not that clever.

I have...

3 11/4/07 Wolseley 73.73
4 16/4/07 Wolseley 8.61
6 16/4/07 Wolseley 21.90
5 16/4/07 Wolseley 75.60

...etc. Number, date, supplier, cost, all that bollocks.
What I get every time I copy/paste it into a blank document is...

3 12/4/11 Wolseley 73.73
4 17/4/11 Wolseley 8.61
6 17/4/11 Wolseley 21.90
5 17/4/11 Wolseley 75.60

This is making me somewhat unhappy.

Somehow its idea of what constitutes a date is fekked. Or possibly its very VERY dyslexic. And I don't know how to fix it.

My parents have gone to Portsmouth. I'm to remain here until they return so I can explain my father's accounts to him. Oh yey. Although currently with Excel's behaviour that is beyond me...
