Winterfest...
In the end, my Winterfest was lovely.
My missing parcel containing lots of people's presents turned up and I was able to wrap everyone's giftings which made me happy.
On winterfest morn there was tea and stockings full of little parcels (which in turn were filled with chocolate and little toys and randomness). There was myself and a Wolf in a dennest unwrapping a ridiculous amount of very shiny presents. There was bacon and fresh bread for breakfast, and then there was reading and playing games and watching anime from our collective hoard. Lastly there was preparing roast duck and vegetables for supper.
The only slight mar upon the day was that my much worried over collection of giftings for people was forgotten when James went to the Oast, and no one could find my screen prints. Apparently the huge lurid cristmas bag by the side of the sofa had obfuscate. *sigh* The other thing was that once again my elder sister has excelled herself. She has given me as a combined winterfest and nameday gifting: something that looks like grey wall insulation. It is in fact a very floofy pure mohair blanket of expensiveness. *looks hopeless* Anyone fancy giving me 70quid for it so I can buy some screenprinting supplies? *shakes head in wonderment at her crazy sister*
Today I am wearing my new waistcoat and also my new eyeballs. My irises look like pools of blood - heeheehee! *happy amused neurons*
I go make tea now and return to bimbling about a dennest with my Wolf.
I quite like small quiet winterfest celebrations. They are less stressful and you actually get to do what you like.
