I don't understand...
I hate to generalize, I do it too much, by why do some hardcore American Christians, I guess they're born again, such as (http://www.cuttingedge.org (Probably not worth reading), hate the Pope so much?
They accuse him, time and time again of being the anti-Christ, literally the "in place of Christ", figuratively, the devil, the false messiah and the one who will attempt to wrest the souls of mankind from God at the end of the world.
I mean shit... he's just a German, who, it could be argued, has a past that is doubtful.
You'd think the head of the Catholic Church would be an inspiration to them, or perhaps a wayward yet holy figure, but his Holiness is the anti-Christ?
Freaks me out, so much hatred and blame to direct at their fellow Christians.
