Character Alert: Scoundrels
I just wanted to give everybody here a heads-up, because I just finished the book a few days ago, and I hadn't realized that certain people would be showing up in it until I cracked the spine, so I thought I'd make sure that you guys knew, too: Timothy Zahn's new Scoundrels features not just Han, Lando, and Chewie...but Winter, and a very young Kell Tainer!
And, of course, it was a delightful book, because that's what Timothy Zahn does. But yeah: a little pre-Wraith surprise going on there! It was fun to see wee little Kell running around. Even though he was never one of my favorites, he's still a Wraith, and I enjoyed getting to meet him pre-X-Wings.
(I hope I'm not upsetting anyone with a spoiler here, but their names are listed in the Dramatis Personae, so...I'm treating it as not a spoiler. Although my jaw certainly dropped when I saw Kell's name in the list, I'll admit that freely!)
Anyway, good book. (I even liked the little epilogue bit, on reflection, which if you know me is saying a lot.) In summation, I quite recommend!
