Stand by me
Oh wow. LJ has a new look. I like the Valentine's day theme. I personally barely noticed that it was V-day yesterday, however my housemate Melissa made sure to recognize it by giving out a chocolate heart to everyone in the house. She's nice. The cool thing about yesterday was that it snowed hard all day. Cornell actually closed for the first time in what was rumored to have been 19 years because of the snow. Some of my housemates went outisde and played and shoveled etc., but I had to stay in and study. I wanted to get out at elast once, but I didn't make it. I studied 8 straight hours to prepare for my Avian disease midterm and oncology midterm the next day (today). My exercise was playing DDR that evening, but I played the best ever. My brain goes into this awesome place, where I don't even know what it's doing, but my feet are flying to all the right places. It's like God-mode. I love when it happens.
Today, there's still like three feet of snow everywhere and the roads are bad, but no new snow is falling. I got up after 6 or more hours of sleep and hiked up the hill to get to school for my first midterm. ... Wouldn't you know I'm here, but the midterm is cancelled. In fact, I find out that the school is still partly closed and at least half of my classes today are already cancelled. My knee really hurts, because I fell on it while hiking up here. The snow was up to my knees in parts where the path was not plowed, and I was wearing jeans and sneakers. Hence, my legs are a bit wet. I got to the dry lab, and saw a lot of my classmates. They didn't know the exam was cancelled either, becuase the email literally just went out. We socialized and complained, but I didn't complain. I'm glad to have extra study time. In an hour, i *may* have to take the other midterm... we shall see. I studied for that some more.
Things have been going well. I got my loans a few weeks ago and have been more than surviving. I was extreemly touched to find someone from CPS had felt a Christmas present for me in my hospital mailbox. They gave me a beautiful new set of gloves and a matching scarf. The knitting is very stylish, and they are dark blue. I've been diong crochet in my spare time, or rather the time that I make for it. I have been going to fencing practice at least weekly, but I still crave more exercise. The weather has been very cold. I've been loving my online RP too. I love the drama.
I just got an email that my second midterm is on. I need to go downstairs now to take it.
