I am beginning to believe that perhaps a great deal of my rather indignant remarks have to do with an underlying fear and anger of being told what to do, of being controlled and manipulated by others.
As well I continue to maintain that a perfectly omniscient and omnipotent God-figure eliminates the possibility of free will. I seem to generate a great deal of strife when I bring that idea to the forefront of any discussion, and I'm afraid I can't understand why. If you believe that God is perfect in every way, why does it bother you that he controls your existence simply by virtue of his immutable omniscience? I don't understand it. Oh well.
