six years in the making

Prologue 5/13/04:

On my way home to my shitty two bedroom apartment in Wilmington where I live with four other people. Bad day delivering pizzas. Not rushing just want to get home and unwind. There's a little Y intersection at Independence Blvd and Wrightsville Ave with a yield sign (look it up on google or something). I pull up behind a white Toyota waiting to turn onto Wrightsville. I watch the car and when the way is clear I see the brake lights turn off. So I let go of my brake and look left to see when I can go. The way is clear so as my foot begins to move from hovering over the brake to the accelerator BUMP. Apparently the Toyota had hit the brakes again. I'm not sure why because the way was clear.

Cut to present day. I am sitting in the wilmington courthouse listening to testimony from shitty doctors about this woman's SUBJECTIVE pain and nerve damage. Her lawyer wants $600,000 in damages, lost wages, future wages, and medical bills. She has barely worked in the last six years and now wants more money from me than she or I have made in our lifetimes.

To be continued ... because I'm drinking. Or not, comment if you're not bored with this.

lying, frivilous lawsuit, bad person, southern lawyers
