Oh my God. Your story is a gem. Seriously. I'm used to mostly watching TV dramas, so watching Community (and a few other TV comedies that I've been watching since 2009) has been a pretty interesting experience for me. When I started watching Community, I immediately became fascinated by Britta. I love strong female characters on TV shows. It's kinda my thing. And I am most definitely a Jeff/Britta shipper, so this fic is all kinds of perfect.

I think what makes Britta so great is, as Dan Harmon has mentioned many times in various interviews, that Britta is not a typical sitcom character. I truly believe she's a character that belongs on a drama that's been put on a sitcom. While she does fit into the world of Community quite well, I've always believed that Britta has had this darker past. She's battled with her own inner demons. She has fears and she's extremely vulnerable, but growing up (probably rather quickly) has made her develop a tough exterior.

Your fic is an amazing journey into Britta's psyche and beyond. We get to see who she is and why she is the way she is and how past experiences have influenced her. Being trapped in an elevator with Jeff was amazing because it is so well-written and believable. Just the way he comforts her in the darkness and the how she fell asleep on his chest while he strokes her hair has my heart fluttering like a fangirl.

There seriously needs to be more dark Jeff/Britta fics. Now I know I'm not that crazy if I decide to write one myself! :P
