You think so? I'm getting more of a mentor/student vibe. Based on her description I imagine she's going to be your basic "Spunky girl/rogue with a heart of gold," and Guerrero will be struggling with teaching her enough to keep her breathing for another day, and not wanting to teach her anything so she doesn't stray any further down the path he took (like when he snapped at Layla for her enthusiasm at the end of Baptiste) As for teasing, I'm guessing that she'd probably rib Guerrero too, though not as much as Winston. She wouldn't be that dumb ( ... )

Ames has "Love Interest For Guerrero" written all over her.

Wasn't sure it was worth making a new post about this, but Mark Miller is being interviewed by the TV Writer Podcast regarding the new season of Human Target, and the interviewer is soliciting questions about the show from people via email and twitter. You can submit questions for Mark Miller by tweeting them to @GrayJones or by emailing them to mail@tvwriterpodcast.com. I don't know when he's going to stop accepting questions, so if you have any (and I'm sure you guys do), send them now.

I asked, "Did you envision the revamped Human Target as an ensemble show in line with Leverage, Burn Notice, Chuck, etc, or did you want to maintain the small cast and craft the episodes to explore that tight team dynamic? "

I'm trying to think of a nice way to ask what was behind the decision to scale back the score and replace it with pop songs. "Were you smoking cocaine that day?" would probably not make it past the screening process.

Here's what I ended up asking about the music:

There's been some uproar about the changes to the musical direction of the show, particularly in light of the revelation that the score will be scaled back and replaced with pop songs. The common concern is that based on the way such songs are used in many other shows, and given the types of shows that are inclined to use them, this could be damaging to the mood of Human Target's scenes and to the tone of the show overall. What was the motivation behind this latest change, and how will these songs be used in the new season of Human Target?
