So as some of you may have gathered, I made a brief appearance at WPI's campus yesterday. Talk about fun!
I was SO happy to see everyone that I saw. And sorry that I missed those of you that I didn't see. I'll be back in three weeks anyway, so don't cry too much.
While I was back in the States, I tried to visit/take advantage of all the things I'd missed when I was in London. This list includes: fabulous WPIers, the Admissions Office, macaroni & cheese, and Mexican food. There's other stuff that I'm just not remembering right now.
However, I've just come to the realization that I forgot something. Something hugely important and close to my heart. And, quite frankly, I'm appalled that I forgot it. I was in the United States for FIVE DAYS. During those five days, I would estimate that I drank 24 cans of Diet Coke/Pepsi. Liters and liters and liters of Diet Coke. But I failed to have even ONE DROP of LIME DIET COKE. Truly truly tragic.
I didn't memorize my Ode to Lime Diet Coke. But rest assured, it was quite moving. I have it saved at home. Maybe when I get back, I'll share it.
Exciting news: The wedding is back on. So even though I didn't get to go to Ireland over the long weekend, I'll still get to go (and it will be FREEEEE!).
Unexciting news: I have jet lag. And jet lag blows. I really really want to go to bed. But despite my best efforts to NOT switch my schedule when I was in the States, it currently feels like it's 7pm. Ah well. It's a good thing I'm a champion sleeper.
Exciting news, Part 2: I flew back to London in BUSINESS CLASS. This is probably as close as I'll ever come to winning the lottery. But I'm okay with that. Because business was pretty damned good! I didn't realize what was going on (I noticed the seats were bigger and cushier and closer to the front of the plane), until the flight attendant asked me if I'd like any champagne before take-off. What??? It was the hottest flight EVER. I knew I should sleep to help with switching my schedule. But the flight was so amazing and wonderful that I didn't want to miss any of it!!
I watched Love Actually for like the FIFTH time on the flight. I LOVE that movie. I'm not big into chick flicks. I pretty much don't like ANY. But it's just such a good movie. If you haven't watched it - you should. Really.
I think that's all I've got. And I really should go to bed.
Night all. Peace out bean sprout.
