What did you think all them saddles and boots was about?

This weeks has been pretty good. Sunday Vicky and I went up to the Grand Canyon, and it was pretty amazing. On the way up, we ran into snow around 4500 feet up (somewhere between Phoenix and Flagstaff) It was the first time I have seen a cactus with snow on it. It took us forever to get to the canyon. We left about 9 in the am, and got to our hotel (just south of the park entrance) around 5. The snow was freaking out all the people in their gigantic SUVs while my little Prius was just plowing on through. I will say this, I am infinitly glad that I decided to stick to my guns on the Electronic Stability Control. There were a couple of times where that feature really helped my stopping on the snow/ice. But, the canyon was gorgeous, and I will link to some pics at the bottom of this entry.

Thursday, I started my manager training at the other Circuit City in town. This is such a joke. I'm pretty sure that except in a few areas I already know more than my mentor about the Operations Manager position. Heck, I trained her on portions of the job during her training. That's right, my mentor has been with the company for half as long as I have. So, it seems that the vast majority of this training will be a total waste of time. Oh well, it looks good on a resume, and maybe will help in my campaign to get a video game related job at the Circuit City corporate level.

That is about all that is going on, tonight we are going to watch "Goodnight and Good luck". I need to get out and see Chappelle's Block Party and V for Vendetta.

Okay, Yahoo is being dumb, so pictures will come a little later.
