Polyester
(1981, USA)

Written, Directed, and Produced by
John Waters
(Hairspray, Pink Flamingos, Cry Baby, Serial Mom)

Our gal pal Divine (Pirk Flamingos, Hairspray, Female Trouble) stars in this John Waters classic film about your typical dysfunctional American family. A bored housewife has a smelly affair with man of her dreams Tab Williams (Damn Yankees!, Grease 2, The Burning Hills, That Kind of Woman) while her own cheating husband, overly promiscuous daughter, and foot-stomping son go on a rampage. The egg lady Edith Massey (Pink Flamingos, Female Trouble, Desperate Living) is there to help.

Waters regulars Mink Stole (Pink Flamingos, Desperate Living, But I'm a Cheerleader), Jean Hill (Desperate Living), and Susan Lowe (Desperate Living, Multiple Maniacs, Female Trouble) are on hand, and don't blink or you might miss Jay Leno (The Tonight Show) as a TV journo.
