I like anime. I like manga too and whilst I don't mind that they have 'adult' content, I do find that it sometimes borders dangerously on child porn and it freaks me out. I mean, what is it with the Japanese and sexy schoolgirls?
I guess it's a problem in the west too but I seem to notice it more in Anime and Manga.

What disturbs me is all these Managwe women with the bodies of small boys, augmented with enormously perky breasts (beyond the realms of physics) and vastly over-pneumatic pubic areas. Wrong-wrongety-wrong!

I suspect the answer lies in "I guess it's a problem in the west" -- as in, it's not a problem in Japan. So it's in the comics.

It really freaks me out too. Underage-looking heroines (and heroes) in skimpy clothing has made me avoid Japanese-style computer games just because it feels so _icky_.
