Clone Wars
I watched the first two episodes of the new Clone Wars animated series last night and it was great. Having been left a bit cold by the cinema movie pilot, I think it worked a lot better as 23-minute chunks. It's simple and to the point. Beginning, middle, end, bam, bam, bam with no bullshit (or politics). Just full-on jedi action with some neat ideas.
The battledroids have gone beyond slightly comical doofus to full-on Larry, Curly and Mo comedy and stupidity, but I think I've been worn down now to the point where I don't care. It's almost as if the 'feel' of Star Wars has been reset now from the original trilogy to this and now that I've accepted that, it's less grating.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to future episodes now.
