Yes, we are expecting temperatures in the 30s, which for Florida is way too fucking cold. I really hate winter.
Yesterday at work went well. I got a lot done, and I also donated platelets. That went well. I've been reading a truly awful book on my Kindle. It had a lot of recommendations which is why I bought it in the first place. The characterization is thin, the plotting is non-existent, and I've found grammatical mistakes in it. I keep reading it mostly to see just how bad can it get. So far, pretty damn bad.
In other news, I got a decent night's sleep, and I'm doing laundry, and I'm going to go climb for a bit. There's a young woman from work who has wanted to try rock climbing, so I'm taking her as my guest to the gym and we're going to see whether or not she likes it. I hope she does. Climbing is fun.
Then tomorrow I'll climb with Dawn. I really enjoy Dawn as a partner, and if I can get the laundry done today, then I can have a day of just hanging out and reading.
I've nearly finished George Martin's autobiography. It has been really interesting. I've learned so much about music and about the recording tricks that were used in the 70s for recording. I remember when records were all mono, and it's cool to read about how all that changed, and the technical aspects of creating multiple tracks in the days when 4 tracks was consider top of the line!
