Yesterday I did attend the luncheon, I did eat lightly, and I did have a piece of pecan pie. So I did not puke at boxing.
I did come home soaked in sweat and exhausted. I did not even want to get out of my chair to go take a shower, but I did take a shower.
This morning I did not want to get up when the alarm went off, and I will punch anyone who suggests I set an alarm for tomorrow.
I'm tired.
In other news, work went well, except that some numbnuts in Alabama gave my personal cell phone number out to a donor who was wanting help getting into his donor portal. 1) MY PERSONAL CELL NUMBER TO A DONOR, 2) I don't know anything about portals. It's not something I work with, though I could have transferred the person to the right place. 3) I was working the front desk where I have poor cell reception, so all I got was a message, which totally freaked me out.
Turns out the same numbnuts gave my boss's personal cell to the same donor and he'd left like fifteen messages on her phone. (She was at the luncheon.)
So my boss and I both have an axe to grind with numbnuts in Alabama.
The luncheon that the blood bank does is nice. The executives all serve the food. All the worker bees like myself get to come in and eat. It's a tradition that they use to say thank you to us for all the work we do all year. I think it's a very nice tradition, and they work their butts off during the luncheon, serving the food and cleaning up.
I work for good people.
