I agree with peter. I think that perhaps everyone got extremely bored with sharing their (ambiguous) feelings over an electronic uncaring medium. The bloody internet will never love you. I really feel that the world will end in one big homginous flash of light. Information and communication will be so easily accessable that everyone will end up getting closer and closer in their thoughts. And then, when we all have the exact same thought at the exact same time (which will be some sort of perverse nirvana) the moon will fall from the sky and it will rain mackeral, it will rain trout. A big flash of light and then back to some sort of primordeal stew.
On the flip side, population will decrease because the big breasted (well endowed for the ladies) sex robots will be invented by then. My plan is to GET OUT OF THE WAY. Move out to some part of Northern California and become a goat farmer. Have a few chickens too maybe...and bunnies, lots of angora bunnies. Maybe grow some potatoes and make my own mead. If you want to join me you have to dig a hole (leave a post) because I'm lonly and rusted out here like a shipwreck in the dust.
