My Race for Life packet came in the mail today. For those of you who didn't know (and that would probably include everyone who doesn't bother with the blog or isn't Juliana), I'm running in a 5K race in June. There's a massive part of me that's doing this in honor of the people I know and love who have either died as a result of cancer or are fighting their own battles at the moment. I'll admit that another part of me that is rather proud of contemplating a 5K run at all. I haven't gotten Libby to sign up yet, but I think it would be an awesome result of our running together this winter. It's been harder and harder to do regular runs as our schedules have gotten more and more crazy, but I'm still getting out there about twice a week and I'm looking forward to the extra motivation. :-)
So, woot! I have to make myself go out and run now, because the weather's beautiful and I've been mucking about all day. Most of you know that I HATE asking for money, but if you could make even a really small donation, I'd really, really appreciate it. There's a website that makes it easy for overseas people, here:
http://www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/tebstroops. JKA is my mom; TEB is my god-sister. The packet suggested that I tell everyone I know, so here's a start! Thank you guys for you support, whether in the form of a few nice comments (which always make my day!) or a bit o' cash. :-)
Off to run now. And start revising for exams. Heh.
