Anime!! Crack for Geeks!!!
Yup 2 more days until Anime Uber Geekness, I can't wait. If I was into cosplay I would dress up in something for the occasion, but I am not, I just like looking at others who are cosplayers, so I will bring my camera. Anime Babes FTW!!! I just hope that there will be some displays or info about a new Anime titled Moribito. Which was airing on [adult swim] at 12am on Saturday until the brainless twits that run Turner Broadcasting switched the air times from 12 am Saturday to 5:30 am Sunday. (well 12 am is technically Sunday) I have no idea what ails some people. How can a company take two premier shows off the air after a few episodes and place them on the latest/earliest time slot usually reserved for repeats of already aired shows? I mean Moribito was kick ass! It had great production quality, great voice casting, the animation was top notch. It resembles the quality of anime made by Studio Ghibli. I just cannot understand how they could switch the time slot, and replace it with anime that has been on and repeated at least twice. I can only take Full Metal Alchemist so much until I have had enough. It is some consolation that every Anime fan was venting on the [AS] boards, but no avail, the schedule change is permanent. Which sucks because I have no DVR's let alone an old VCR. On top of that I doubt I could find VHS tapes to use to record the show, ar ethey even made anymore? sheesh, way to go progress. I will have to wait for it to come out on DVD. I could watch it on some fan sites where folks from Japan DVR the show then upload it to a web site like Veoh or ZOMG Anime. In a sense it like a boot leg but the licensing has not begun yet so it sorta is legal. Anyway the kind folks who do this also subtitle it. BUT I CAN"T FIND ANY EPISODES OF MORIBITO WITH ENGLISH SUBTITLES!!!!! Both sites I use only have Spanish, French, and German. Even the [adult swim] website doesn't have epidsodes I can watch. Talk about a total tease, I have been waiting for this to come on [AS] for a while now and when it does come on, poof it gets taken away only after three episodes. What a Crock.
