Kids say the darndest things...
When my mom was here last week she was trying to explain to Alta that she had a different name than just Oma. Alta asked her what other name she had. Mom replied, "My name is Bonnie Burgett." (burg-it)
Alta was on the floor laughing. This topic came up several times through out the week and every time my mom said her name Alta just cracked up, "Oma has a funny name!" was the usual response between giggles.
This morning as we're headed to daycare Alta said again, "Oma has a funny name."
"Yea?" I asked. "What is Oma's name?"
Alta giggles again, "Hamburger!" She burst out laughing. "Its a funny name!"
Apparently she caught the "burg" sound and obviously that means burgers.
