Shit, I Just Did That
I just beat my kids.
Beat them.
I broke blood vessels - with an "s" ... more than one - in my hand I hit them so hard.
I WAY over reacted and have since apologized to them both.
And, because it made me so mad when I was a kid, there was no "sorry, but" where you apologize and then throw it all back on the person anyway. My mom used to do that to me constantly when I was a kid; "I'm sorry I yelled at you, but I asked you to wash the dishes and you didn't.
I can put some blame on PMS hormones (and I am) but I'm still the grown up and should not have reacted the way that I did.
