LOL! Yes, it does! I'm only 1 1/2 inches taller than Mary Kate now and she's only 9!

I think I've got a bit more time than that before she catches up to me. Joe and I are both about the same height, I'm 5'10" and he's 5'11." I figure I've got till the teenage years before they fully catch up. :-)

I love it!

This reminded me to go measure my son. He is 4'3"; his head nestles quite nicely in my armpit. :)

Lilly and Maddie have a dr's appt on Thursday. I may ask to sneak Alta onto the measuring wall to see how tall she is now.

I had a friend when I was in Jr. High who was (and still is) MUCH shorter than I am. I think there's actually almost a full foot difference between our heights; I'm 5'10" and if memory serves she topped out at 4'10".

Anywho, when we were in 7th grade she was at my house and we were standing next to each other and my mom started to laugh looking at us. She looked at my friend and said something to the effect, "When Emma's kids are 7 years old they'll be as tall as you are!" I don't think she's 4'10" yet, but I want to see how close she is to give my friend a little bit of a hard time over on FB.

My mom was 5'1". I think I outgrew her in third grade. I know that the first part of that school year was the last year I could wear her shoes...she always had the cutest shoes for her tiny feet. I'm 5'7" and am taller than my dad now, too, since back problems have made him shrink some. It was okay being taller than mom, but is weird to be taller than dad.

I think my stepdad is about a foot taller than mom was. It was enough that they looked funny together.
