Avoiding
I should be doing chores right now. We got home Tuesday afternoon pooped from the camping extraveganza and then Wednesday and yesterday I felt terrible because the "alergies" that Joe was suffering from turned out to be a cold. One good makeout session passed the bastard off to me. I'm *just* starting to feel human again. Blah.
Anywho... the dishes have barely been washed for 3 days and the livingroom is turning into a disaster area. Though, I will say that I came within a hampers worth of clothes to actually having all the laundry washed. I may have to push that out today, 3 or 4 loads to have it all washed for the first time in God only knows how long? Tempting.
I've got a bunch of books I need to add to my book list and my camping photos to post. Perhaps I'll let myself do those things when I get the kitchen cleared up.
Oh! I transfered some more cash from checking to savings this morning, according to the little pie chart on the bank's website I've put more than $1500 in savings since April 30th. Some of that was leftover from our tax return, but a good $600 has been from income. Obviously we won't be able to keep up that pace once Joe's demotion is officially in place (still looking at June 10) but we'll still be moving towards having a real emergency savings account. At which point we can start socking money away for a replacement vehicle. We drive our cars until they won't drive no more but I feel we may be starting to get close to that point; Joe's Impalla has over 177K miles and my truck isn't too far behind at 168K.
