I found an 8 month old puppy on petfinder and I think she's the one. I need to show Joe her picture so he can get a feel for her. I emailed the shelter and they said she is great with kids and other dogs, is house broken, and can be easily crate trained. Her biggest behavior problem is jumping, but she's never jumped on a child and that is a habit that can be easily corrected with a few sharp jabs of knee-to-chest. We'll see though, Joe's going to be the voice of reason on this one, if I had my way any stray critter would come live with us. Although he already picked a new name for her (we don't like what she's been given) so that's a good sign!
Random ways you end phone calls when your spouse is a nurse: "OK, I love you. Have fun with the poop."
The paper is not written at all yet BUT I do have my sources picked out. I know what direction I'm going in; Hawthorne's evil was science(alchemy) and O'Connor's was mankind's shortcomings in general. My works cited page is put together and I have my name on the first page. Progress! I am guessing I've got about 3-4 good hours of writing to get it done. It's only a 3 page paper, so I'll hit that with no problem.
Maddie's fever has gone down, but not away. She's been hovering around 99 for most of this afternoon. I REALLY hope it's gone in the morning, for one, it's no fun to have a lingering low grade fever it just makes you feel yucky. but also I have to take my exit exam tomorrow at 10am and that is going to be impossible to do with a sick toddler on my arm. Gah.
Now, to make another pot of coffee and then back to work!
