Alta told me this morning that her teacher said they need to put their hair in a braid or a ponytail for a few weeks. In one of the other classes "they have bugs that like to lay eggs in your hair."
Ew! ewewewewew!
So, quickly consulting the internet I saw that tea trea oil is supposed to help repel lice (is there anything it can't do?). I just so happened to have bought some tea tree oil the other day because my mom had requested a batch of my homemade laundry soap scented with tea tree oil. So I put a couple drops on Alta's brush and made sure her head was thruroughly tea tree'd before she left the house.
I really hope the internet is right. Not only is there the major ew factor of head lice, it would be a pure nightmare to have to comb nits out of Alta's really long, really fine, really thick hair.
