Operation: Discovery
Now that my BF's toon has his Mechano-Hog (and what a sweet ride it is), we can now proceed with an idea I came up with: picking up a level 1 character and riding them around in the Hog discovering areas. We are curious as to just how high we can get the character just from discovery, and also if it's possible to get the Explorer title on this toon. I don't care if she dies, but my concern right now is avoiding XP from killing a mob (have to be grouped to ride the hog) but we'll just have to wait and see.
Yesterday, my baby pally Malynn got to ride around and discover the wonders of Eversong Woods in style.
Yes, murlocs and other scary things were aggro'd, but despite her health going down to about half at one point, she was never dismounted from the Hog. She is now halfway through level 3 and has yet to kill a single mob or do a single quest!
I'll update here with the progress as we go. We do have other toons we are working on, so this experiment will probably go slowly. I'm hoping to do at least a zone at a time, each time we work on it.
(BTW, if anyone reading this has a high-level mage on Kilrogg, let me know. Will be looking for ports to Shatt and Dalaran when the time comes!)
