Ten years ago today I rejoined the Camarilla after a four year hiatus.

The game was held here in Houston at Brian Misamore's house. I'd previously played in College Station, and I knew that a few of the people I'd played with from 1995-1997 would be there. I didn't realize just how many would be there, though, or how wonderfully welcome they'd make me feel. By going, I risked the ire of my then-husband (who'd been okay with my role-playing activities when we'd met and married, but later decided he didn't want me doing it). My marriage had been dead for roughly three out of the four years I'd been away. Walking into that game/social event that night felt like coming home. I didn't just reconnect with several wonderful old friends. I made several friends that night that I count among my best friends today. Through them, over these last ten years, I've met even more good friends and had an incalculable amount of fun both in game and out.

To my friends in the Camarilla - I love you. Happy Anniversary!
