biweekly update
so i decided to make this tradition. every tuesday and thursday i will update my livejournal.
tomorow im headed to utah. WA-frickin-HOOOO! haha im really excited. one thing that sucks is the week/weekend that my best friend is in town is the week that i have all sorts of mad homework assignments and studying to do.
so this weekend there is a HUGE dance party here in rexburg, they call it the Black Light Party. and its awesome cuz it is put on by really good wholesome people that just want to have nice fun dance parties. I know the DJ's and the guys that put em on and even tho some of them dont go to this school, they used to and they are just awesome people trying to put on a wholesome event. ALL of their music is edited. Anyways, the point I am trying to make is that there are some stake presidents and bishops here on campus who are emailing all of their church members telling them not to go cuz theres gonna be "drugs and alcohol" and its gonna be a terrible environment where "the Spirit cannot dwell." They have also informed their students that if they know of people that are going or went like their roomates, they should tell their bishop so that he can meet with the students. honestly. what is the difference between this dance party and the dance parties that happen EVERY WEEKEND? the only difference is there will be more people. and less alcohol than at some of the parties that occur. I want to meet with some of these bishops cuz Im like what are you going to do? take my temple reccomend away for going to a dance? Are you going to kick me out of school for going to a dance? I love Rexburg and I love the Church and I love BYU-Idaho, but I get frustrated with some of the Pharisees and Sadduccees that are here.
On that note, imma go do some homework.
