(no subject)
last night was F to the UN. not only did i get to display my awesome laser quest skills and finish 2nd our of 30 peeps, but my dude bro anthony was home.
here something even better:
alright, i dont make a lot of money. and this week i had to spend about 340 on gas and getting my geetar fixed, while next week i will have to dish out 100 to get a passport to go to Italy. im not at the point yet where im worrying about money issues (because im running out of it) but God and i have had QUITE a few conversations about. ANYWAYS...tonite while i was being my normal goofy self...this is what happened.
at Lazer Quest, there is a painted mote on the floor (complete with drawbridges). while other people were playing thier second game (i only played one because it was too pricy!), i chose to GO FOR A SWIM! not just any old swim...i backstoked across the entire floor, which was about 50ft long, and i "held my breathe" under the drawbridges, you know, because you have to go under water.
after i did this, as i was getting ready to leave, the manager dude TJ pulled me over and said "you want a job. i saw you swimming in the mote and that just the kind of people we are here...".
yes, it only pays 7 dollars an hour, and yes its nights and weekends (but only about 10-12 hrs a week), but i really think this is from God. and who am i to pass up an answered prayer from God, just because i dont like it? does that make sense?
anyways, i think im going to do it. kind of a step of faith and kind of a means of bringing some cash in...even if i can get around 70 bux more a week, it will help so much...just to raise money for the mission trip or pay some bills.
the most amazing thing that i have learned in the past year is that the same God that created the universe, puts breathe in your lungs, and permits your heart to beat another beat....cares about you and me. CARES!!!! try and wrap your minds around THAT.
