[Not far from the Inn, by the fountain is one newly arrived, and rather bewildered Tirion Fordring. The Ashbringer is in the paladin's hand as he looks around, trying to figure out just where he is. This isn't Crusader's Pinnacle. It's not even close to being Icecrown. Maaaaybe it could possibly pass as Grizzly Hills or Howling Fjord in a pinch,

Alexandros Mograine?

This is more confusing than I expected it to be. And that discounts the odd bazaar I partook in a while ago.

Confusing to say the least, Alexandros. What's happened to you?

[He drew Ashbringer and the blade hummed as he held it to the sky] My soul is... still corrupted. But what I do not understand is why you carry this weapon. You do know the legend, do you not?

I knew your soul had been trapped within the corrupted blade. Your youngest came to me seeking a way to free it.
But that was after you had been killed as a Death Knight in Naxxaramas.

[Mograine sighed and rubbed his head. This was all too confusing.]
The story of the Ashbringer Tirion. But if my soul was trapped within the blade, this blade, then how in the world did you come to possess it? For the only way to succeed the Ashbringer is to kill the user. Then their souls become one.

It was in the possession of Darion, who had been raised as a Death Knight after sacrificing himself at Light's Hope Chapel to free your soul from the blade and turn the tide against the Scourge.
As a Death Knight, he lead the second attack against the Chapel with an army of Death Knights and Scourge. It was all a rouse to get me to come out into the open so the Lich King could attack me.
Upon the holy ground and with the Lich King's betrayal, Darion and the Death Knights regained their will. I don't understand why, but when Darion threw the Ashbringer to me, it became purified in my hand and broke the spell the Lich King was using upon me.

There were those who scurried back to the Scourge like dogs to their master. [vicious, unforgiving were those words] Those who had chosen freely to give themselves to the Lich King. Precious few had a change of heart when freed by the... Light.
[There seemed to be a word missing there, just before mention of the Light, but the death knight doesn't clarify. He looks at Morgraine]
But your soul... I saw it claimed by Frostmourne before the Highlord gave the Ashbringer to Highlord Fordring. How you stand here now, alive...
[Krenyn shakes his head, muttering something under his echoing tones which might have to do with accepting the whimsy of Time.]

Perhaps there is something far greater here at stake, than just what we see. Frostmourne claimed my soul they say? Well then, perhaps then we have our answer.
[Holding out his hand to Tirion, he gestured to the blade.] May I?

[Tirion stands up, taking the Ashbringer in hand, and presents the blade for Mograine to take.]

Then, as abruptly as he was swinging the weapons, he stopped.
Holding out the massive broadsword, he said] It is as I believed it to be true. My soul is gone from this blade.

It is best to be prepared for anything, especially in this realm.]
A fascinating display of talent and flair, Mograine, [he offered dourly.] As I'm sure the Lich King found it equally compelling.
((Fixed that annoying extra R. Hah!))

And you said the sword would be passed on by killing the previous wielder, and the two souls fusing together?
