Justice is not timeless

The days have been busy of late, but for reasons separate than in previous years. I have recently undertaken a small handful of pupils, to train in the arts of healing and ecological salvation. There are only three of them, all young tauren, personally selected by the Arch Druid for obedience and curiosity. I was assured by Hamuul that they would not make be difficult for me, given my lack of experience in teaching regards. In truth, they have not been, though I stutter and, as the youngest innocently pointed out, blush with enough frequency for it to be noticed.

Even so, their progress is quite good. I plowed a garden over this last week, and the students and I will be growing it together. It will not be long before the first glimpses of green sprout up from beneath the surface of the soil, many days sooner than would a crop grown naturally. The path of druidism is full of subtleties and inward reflection, yet I know these shall prove difficult for the youth to grasp. My hope is that if they were to see their plants (I have chosen sweet potatoes, for Mulgore is an excellent climate) grow, day by day, to end in a meal or a pie, they will come to perceive their clear, deliberate power, better than the questionable benefits afforded to rainblessing, or to cleansing a corrupt pond.

Ambershanks's students are somewhat more rambunctious, but he is better equipped to handle them. He has taken well to being a teacher. Upon their very first day, he took his students out to investigate the centaur encroachment upon our lands; he returned, reporting success, not only of the mission, but of the prowling techniques of his aspirants.

The home - aye, but it is nearly a farm by now - has become much more crowded. I am a bit saddened by the loss of our tranquility, but conversely, even when Ambershanks is gone, there is always someone to talk with. Chillwind and her Stormsurge will come to visit and, if Ambershanks tells me true, inhabit the caves near the home.

It is our own little tribe. Gods, but it has been too long.
