when i was younger i always felt like our generation was just...a repetition of past generations.
i thought the 60s were awesome.
and the 70s were hella cool.
and the 80s fuckin rocked.
and i thought the 90s and the... 00s...
would just be boring because we didnt have 'title' or a certain type of dress like every other decade..because it had all been done.
but as i've grown up... in the past year or so i'm looking back on my childhood and i'm able to pick out certain neat things that just stick out in my mind...like...the slinky and litebrite and bellbottoms and those kinds of things stick out to my mom... and i'm able to say 'yeah. thats the 90s baby.' and i never thought i'd be able to do that.
and i bet that someday when im old i'll look back on NOW and i'll remember those certain one hit wonders and those other awesome bands...and certain clothes and the fact that EVERY GIRL AND HER MOM had their bellybuttons pierced and other trends and fads and oprah and dr phil and the instant messenger craze and everything.
and i'll laugh. and i'll feel cool and i'll feel like a part of a certain cool decade.
not to mention, the 90s had the BEST music ever...despite what anyone else says.
you've probably picked up on the fact that i'm watching 'i love the 90s part deux' 8)
haha. i hope they have an 'i love the 00s' someday. because i bet i could make a list beforehand of everything that'll be on it. heh...
