Question about Final Boss in Grim Batol

I can't think of his name, but today my partner was running him with a group--on Normal--and she said the group wiped because he 'suddenly started making copies of himself' and no one knew how to handle it.  I'm not able to look up patch notes--though I can use LJ at work--so can anyone confirm if he was buffed?  Or bugged? So far as I know, this ( Read more... )

Hmmm, I thought he did it in both heroic and normal...his two copies go left and right and go for the eggs. If they reach the eggs it does something that I forget LOL. Just have the dps split and kill the two adds that head for the eggs.

Does he summon one add or two in normal, I can't remember off the top of my head. If it's usually one, he may be bugging and summoning two?

Hmmm...that is a good question. I don't remember if it was one or two in normal. It's been a while since I've ran it and even longer since I ran it on normal. I do know that even getting to the eggs on normal it wasn't usually a big deal so there's a chance it was on heroic if they were having issues.

How many copies of himself did he make? He makes several, and someone has to kite the copies around the room while the rest of the group focuses on the "real" one.

I think you might be thinking of the last boss in BRD? In Grim Batol you definitely have to stop killing the boss and focus down the adds really fast (1 add in normal, 2 adds in heroic).

The last boss in Grim Butthole Batol doesn't make copies of himself. He summons adds into the room from the entrance--1 in normal and 2 in heroic. But if they're not immediately burned down they release the evil dragonlings of much evil burning and groups tend not to survive the barrage for long after that.
