On being a decent looter

I try to be a nice person in dungeons. There are times that I'll want/need something for offspec, but I firmly believe that MS is greater than OS, and so I used to wait to see if anybody rolled need on it, before I would say that I was taking it for offspec, and roll for it.

But now, it doesn't show it anymore. I know it used to be under "Detailed

You should be able to open the rolls window by clicking on the [Loot] part of the text that shows up next to the item being rolled on.

I just type /loot and it brings it up

What other people said--there's also an option in interface settings that makes the looting window pop up automatically so you can see everyone's rolls as they happen.

I have an addon called xloot, it shows how many have rolled need, greed and pass at a glance, and who has rolled which if you mouse over. That way you can see if 4 people have rolled in 5-mans and nobody needed.

Thanks for asking this question. I've been thinking about it myself. And I did have someone ragequit on me right before MoP started over this. It was funny because my guildie said, "Ragequiting over an item that will be replaced in a week? lol"
