Hello ladies and lurkers.
I have a little problem; even if I don't quite see it as a problem. My computer is crap, an old HP ProBook 4515s that I have from school. I use it to play WoW, of course, since it's the only computer I have ... However I sport a huge amount of FPS... Or not. I usually; when solo-questing, have around 15-20 FPS, 25 if I'm lucky. In dungeons this usually is around 10-15 ... Only raid I've been in is ICC, where I spiked at 8 FPS.
I have all my settings on lowest possible, apart from View Distance which I keep on Good because seriously, the game doesn't update until I've already flown past if I put it on Low or Fair... Recommended is Good on everything, but it makes it even worse.
Now, is there any other tricks you can give me? I've learned to adjust my playing to my FPS, meaning that I hit my Explosive Shot or Dire Beast before my Cobra Shot is actually done casting, and it usually goes off when Cobra Shot is done casting, even if my computer tells me it's still about 0.2 seconds left of cast. I'm probably getting a new computer, a Lenovo ThinkPad, within reasonable time, but it would still be nice to be able to have around 25-30 FPS... At least sometimes.
About the toaster.. I happened to tell someone in trade the other day about my FPS, since they were complaining on 'only' having about 60-70 FPS after the patch ... They told me to quit playing WoW on a toaster and get myself a computer :P
Any help is appreciated!
